In a stellar X Games career that has stretched 15 years and counting, Mark McMorris has stacked medals and chalked up X Games records. He’s the best there is on the Slopestyle rails and among the best on the jumps, including the Big Air booter. As a competitor, McMorris is at his best when the pressure is on him. His 6th career Slopestyle gold at XG Aspen 2022 — 10 years after his first — pushed him past Shaun White’s record for most gold in the discipline and gave him his 21st career medal, tying Jamie Anderson for most winter medals; adding another slopestyle gold medal at XG Aspen 2023 put him in a league of his own on both counts, and a 23rd medal (Slopestyle silver in 2024) extended his most winter medals records. Mark will arrive at X Games Aspen 2025 with 23 X Games medals to his name. Can he keep adding medals to the pile? “I sure as hell hope so,” he says.
